Uses: – Ceftriaxone is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It will works by fighting with the bacteria in your body. It is used in the treatment of many kinds of bacterial infections such as urinary tract, skin, blood, abdomen, pneumonia, including life-threatening forms such as meningitis. It is also used to after surgery to prevent infection. It is not recommended for the newborns and infants due to increased risk of side effects.

Side Effect: – some common side effects are swelling, redness, or pain at the injection site may occur. Some serious side effects, including: weakness, breathing trouble, cough, fever, stomach pain, nausea, headache, vomiting and confusion may occur. If any of these effects get worse, inform your doctor promptly.

Salbactum 500 mg Injection

Sulbactam is able to inhibit the most common forms of β-lactamase but is not able to interact with the AmpC cephalosporinase. Thus, it confers little protection against bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Citrobacter, Enterobacter, and Serratia, which often express this gene.
