Glimepiride 2 mg + Metformin 500mg PR

This medicine is an anti-diabetic type of medicine used in the treatment of type-2 diabetes, especially patients with high blood sugar can be treated. A healthy balanced diet and regular exercise can make this medicine more effective. Metformin belongs to the biguanides class of drugs. The dosage of treatment is prescribed based on the patient’s health, age, weight, and medical history. Take this medicine with or without food. Continue with your regular dose if you missed the dose don’t take an overdose or double dose.

Side effects-

Following side effect may occur with the use of given medications

Fatigue, weight gain, stomach pain, nausea, anemia, dark urine, dizziness or seizure may occur. Serious allergic reaction to this medicine is rare. Inform your doctor immediately, if you feel any of the given side effects worsen. Your doctor has prescribed this medicine because he judged that the benefits of this medicine are more than the risk of side effects. Many patients are not feeling any side effects while using this medication. Tell your doctor right away if you observe any new signs of side effects or allergic reactions.
