Clotrimazole 1% w/w + Beclomethasone Dipropionate 0.025% w/w Cream

This combination of medicine is used in the treatment of many fungal skin infections such as jock itch, ringworm etc. This combination product has two medicines. Clotrimazole is a type of azole antifungal that works by stopping the fungus growth and Beclomethasone belongs to corticosteroid group of medicine. It works by decreasing itching, redness, swelling and other skin problems. This combination medicine is not for children less than 12 years of age.

Before using this medicine read the complete information provided by leaflet of the product. This medicine should be used for the treatment of skin only. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Apply at clean and affected area and gently rub as per direction given by doctor, usually twice a day. Length of treatment is depends on the infection type. Wash your hands after application and do not cover affected area with anything unless prescribed by doctor. Use regularly at the same time until prescription is finished. Do not stop applying even if symptoms disappear, it can return the infection again. Do not apply this medicine at the sensitive parts of the body as mouth, eyes or private parts.

Side Effects

Mild burning, tingling, stinging, irritation, rash, itching, redness, dizziness or scaling may occur. Children are more likely to risk of side effects.  Inform your doctor immediately, if you feel any of the given side effects such as vision problem, acne, tiredness, and headache or weight loss. Remember your doctor has prescribed this medicine because he judged that benefits of this medicine are more than the risk of side effects. Many patients are not feeling any side effects while using this medication.

Precautions

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to it or antifungal or if you have allergies to any inactive ingredients. Inform your doctor about your medical history such as any type of blood circulation or immune system problem. This drug is advised mainly for elderly.
