Clotrimazole is used to treat yeast infections of the vagina, mouth, and skin such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, and body ringworm. It also relieves symptoms such as burning, itching, cracking of the skin and discomfort caused by these infections. It can also be used to prevent oral thrush in certain patients.This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs. Clotrimazole is an azole antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus.zoyclo helps fight fungal infections, prevents its recurrence and provides soothing dry maintenance therapy for tineapedis, teniacruris, diaper rash and other fungal infections of the skin.
